LAST DAY OF THE REGULAR SEASON

Although the BHL Today did not get sent out today because of technical difficulties, the BHL trudged on and finished up the regular season. The playoffs will begin on Monday the 14th so please keep checking the Calender. Due to the comishes problems and no transportation the BHL and the weekly Owners meetings will take a week or so off.

COMISH GOES TO NEW HAMPSHIRE

The comish traveled to New Hampshire before the playoff break to compete in a pro mountain bike race. Unfortunately the comish was pulled from the course due to a broken chain. Welcome back and now the BHL can continue. "I am sorry for dragging down the BHL operations with my personal life but when a person lives out of town and has no car, it affects everything. Just imagine not being able to get groceries or do the laundry."

TOP TEAMS DROP A GAME

The two top teams in the BHL drop a game today but still retains top honors in the BHL as the battle for the remaining spots in the playoffs are really heating up. Inside the BHL should be a hot issue this week.

BOSTON SALE

The comish has reported Friday that the owner Boston have not been responding or attending any meetings. The team is up for sale and will go to the next bidder if the respective owner dosent get in contact with the comish immediately.

MONTREAL AND OTTAWA ELIMINATED

The Canadians and the Senators have been eliminated from the dance today as Calgary and Nashville clinch spots. In other news owners are reminded not to forget the Owners Meeting tonight at 11 pm EST.

COMISH RECEIVES SUPPORT

The bad luck is that the commissioner Bill martin has lost his car but the support that he has received from the BHL owners federation has beeen overwhelming. With this kind of togetherness in this league the BHL can only prosper. Meanwhile teams that have clinched playoff berths are Atlanta, Washington, Colorado, and Edmonton.

COMISH UPON HARD TIMES

As you all may have noticed the BHL has been sluggish this last couple of days. Games are being played late and the site has not been updated regularly. This is due to the commissioner falling upon hard times. As you all know the comish also races mountain bikes in the semi-pro category. On a recent trip to a pro race the comish's car got totaled and he is left without a car. The comish lives in a rural area and just going to work is now a problem. Of coarse being a student he is broke so most of his time will now be spent biking to work. The BHL will continue according to the comish but may only be played as time allows. "Better than nothing. I really love my owners and I don't want to let them down.", Bill told the press Monday morning.

For a rider who never rests on his laurels, Armstrong’s list of magical moments has now been bolstered by the rapid pace of his 53.986 kilometer-an-hour 'sprint' over the 58.5 kilometer time trial course in stage 19.

TODAYS TOP TEAMS REMAIN THE SAME

The Oilers had a chance today to join Washington in the top spot in the BHL but just couldn't muster a win. Washington remains number one with 32 points while Edmonton and Atlanta trail with 30 points.

RANGERS AND SHARKS GETTING NEW OWNERS

The New York Rangers are being sold to a undisclosed owner and it is not sure what the new owner will be doing with the team. At press time the new owner's identity is unknown and the only word from the rangers camp is that is someone from the Missouri area. The Sharks have also found a new owner and are in the process of moving him into his new digs. Until the new offices are set up we will not know any further details.

WASHINGTON ONLY 1 POINT AHEAD

The Caps are no longer in charge of the BHL as their lead has slipped to one point. The Capitals have 31 points in the BHL standings and are being closely followed by Atlanta and Edmonton with 30.

SAN JOSE SHARKS WITHOUT OWNER, TEAM FOR SALE

It has come to the Commissioners attention that the owner of the Sharks Jamie Bittick has come up missing and no longer has an e-mail that is working. The San Jose Sharks are now officially for sale.

ATLANTA FALTERS WHILE WASHINGTON MOVES AHEAD

The thrashers lost to the Devils 5 to 3 today allowing Washington to move ahead in the points standings by 3 points. Washington with a win today against the Islanders now have 29 points and lead the League.

STANDINGS CLOSER THAN FIRST THOUGHT

As Edmonton moves up to tie with Atlanta for second place the standings appear to be closer than originally thought. Washington leads the league with 27 points but Atlanta and Edmonton both are only one point behind with 26.

DAY OF UPSETS

The Capitals and the Thrashers both lost their games today as the standings in the BHL tighten up. Washington still leads but only by 2 points to Atlanta and Calgary. Calgary is the surprise team today as they move into a tie for second with Atlanta and two points out of the lead. The Presidents Trophy is up for grabs!

EDMONTON BEATS OLD RIVAL

The Oilers hosted the recently hot Rangers and made short work of kicking their butt. With the win, Edmonton kicks Calgary out of third place in the BHL with 24 points.

NEXT WEEKS MEETING

Next weeks BHL Owners Meeting will take place next Wednesday the 19th at 1 pm EST. The weekly Owners meeting will change to different times when the comish's work schedule allows, but once again mid-day is only available.

CALGARY MOVES UP

The Calgary Flames could be the sleeper this season as they move into third place in the BHL with 23 points after beating the Blues today. In the meantime the Race for top spot is being held by Washington with 27 points. Close behind the Caps are the Thrashers with 25 points. A loss for any of these three teams could be detrimental to their quest for the President trophy.

BHL ONLINE HAS NEW DIRECTORY PAGE

The comish was busy at the office today putting on the final touches to the new directory page here at BHL Online. "I would like to give credit to Jens Ebbesen for all the hard work he has done putting together the names and addresses" the comish remarked in a brief interview. All the pages now have a link in the header to the new Contacts Page. Owners, if you see a name or address that is wrong please send the comish an e-mail.

WASHINGTON AND ATLANTA ONLY TEAMS IN TODAYS MEETING

In todays owners meeting the topic was about deadbeat owners. With attendance running low the attendees were able to take a look at some of the teams and decide on whether they were still participating in the league. Other topics were talk about adding an address or directory to the site and also maybe a classified section. See the meeting page for the transcript of the proceedings.

BHL OWNERS MEETING TODAY

The second weekly meeting will take place today (Sunday) at noon EST. In other news Atlanta revenged their loss last night as they beat the Mighty Ducks by a score of 4 to 1. Atlanta is no in the top spot in the league.

STANLEY CUP PREVIEW

Today the two top teams in the BHL went at it. Washington traveled to Atlanta to take on the Thrashers in front of a packed house. Unfortunately the home team was stunned as they lost to the Caps 5 to 2.

Rumors have risen that Bill Houlder and Todd Harvey may be heading to St. Louis in exchange for Oleg Tverdovsky and Vaclav Prospal.

MEETING LAST NIGHT

The first weekly BHL Owners Meeting happened last night but got off to a rocky start. The meeting was late due to the Comish not showing up. When he did show up most of the Owners had already left. "I lost my modem cord" remarked the Comish to the owners still remaining. Topics discussed were season length, bogus players, and online playing. Visit the meeting home page for more details. The comish after the meeting had this to say. "I know I was late but now I have a rough idea on who is participating in this league and who is not. There will be some teams up for sale after the next meeting - that is for sure."

WASHINGTON LOSES ANOTHER

The Capitals lost another to make the top spot of the BHL more attainable for the teams chasing in second and third place. The Caps lost to the Blackhawks in front of a home crowd today.

TAMPA REGRESSES

The lightening was in the top 3 of the BHL this morning but after the game with Phoenix they fell back considerably in the tight race for the top of the league. Phoenix rolled into Florida and beat the Lightening 3 to 2.

CHICAGO UPSETS ANAHEIM

The Anaheim Mighty Ducks lost some ground on the Presidents Trophy this season as they hosted Chicago and lost 3 to 1. The loss takes Anaheim from the top three in the BHL and drops them to 5th. Meanwhile the other top two teams in the league, Washington and Atlanta continue to dominate each with wins.
