Sidewinder, Two Larch, Three Larch
The ride starts at the parking area on top of Lincoln Hills Drive. Ride to the gated jeep trail. Take the trail and head over Jumbo saddle. Before you reach the Marshall drainage side of the saddle (leads to Marshall Canyon Road via a gravel logging road), take a left and start to climb from the saddle towards Woods Gulch.
On top of the next saddle there is a four way intersection. A single track leads back to the saddle via a Knoll. A trail goes to the right and towards the top of the Woods Gulch. Take the leftish and start around to the West. Go around the base of the mountain that is on the south side of the gulch. Start switch backing to the top as you round a bend and come upon a single track heading up and to the right.
Climb up and then down the ridge towards the junction of the Woods Gulch Trail.
Start down the Woods Gulch Trail and find thee beginning of the two larch ... three larch trail just a little way down and to the right. Follow this trail up the drainage and surface upon a logging road. Turn around and there are two larches.
Follow the road turning to the left. Follow around base of mountain that is on the north side of Woods Gulch. Just as you round the bend on the far side of the base (about a mile or so, maybe two) take a single track straight off to the left just under three larches.
Follow downhill this remarkable trail. Follow single track back around the ridge and off some drops eventually ending up being dumped out on Wood Gulch trail. This section will take a little time as it is quite a long section of singe-track.
Finish the ride by making your way back to the starting point. Go down Woods Gulch Trail and then down the access road. Cross Rattlesnake Drive and head to the Rattlesnake Greenery. Follow the trail which follows the creek back to some power lines. Take a left and follow the power lines out to a road that crosses Rattlesnake drive once again. Go up this road until it turns to gravel and climbs back to the beginning. You will travel up and around a farm.
I give this ride five stars.
