This article is about a mountain bike trail in Missoula Montana. My first maps of this ride were way off so I have updated this article with a new map which is very accurate. This ride is from Grant Creek to Snow Bowl Lookout. MTB Review .com gave this ride 4.67 of 5 .

I have rode this climb 4 times this year and each time is like the first. Speaking of which, this was my first ride with a group here in Missoula. I remember thinking wow, I am in love. The plan is to park at the trailhead on Grant Creek. It is past the Snow Bowl road and on the right. I think the pullout is called Raven (it has a street sign, yes).

From there you just start riding (click Here For MAP) and just follow all those switchbacks. Climb until you come to an intersection. We locals call this trail "The Trail of Tears".

Take a left and this trail will take you to a rock outcropping and a view of Snow Bowl. Congratulations you have climbed to the lookout from Grant Creek.

I give this ride 3 stars. It is awesome but it is a little short and the trail is so new that the ride back down is a little bumpy (not technical, bumpy like washboard bumpy ... ok lumpy!).
