Little Park Creek Hill Climb to 5,361 ft.
Terrain Distance (approx): 9.6 miles (rt)
Climbing Distance: 1,961 feet
Highest Altitude: 5,361 feet
Trip Time: 2 hours
I parked the car at a gate on Little Park Creek. My friend Paul and I was astonished at the amount of ammo shells on the ground there were. There was also carcuses all over. There was racial remarks on the fence post also. Definately a militant beer drinking area. The next time I may want to park my car down the road just a tad at the pull out on the north side of the road.
Head up past the gate a mile or so. This trail fizzles out but if you take a left onto the logging road heading up you can continue for a couple thousand feet of verticle climbing in the next four miles. Look out for the rocks in the road as this trail is a little overgrown. We finished on top were ther are two stacks of rocks and views of the Bitteroots, Mount Dean Stone, and Miller Peak.
I give this ride two stars because it is short, overgrown, and a little boulder strewn.
